When it's available, and the road markings are reasonably maintained, Super Cruise is excellent. If Super Cruise is included on a trim level, it's a no-brainer. As an option, it's something we would think about before committing.
B-roll: 2022 GMC Sierra Super Cruise
Super Cruise offered reliable lane centering and no big surprises, but I did have a slight pucker moment when a car very quickly cut through my lane to make an exit. The system didn’t do much in the quick moment that the offending car was decelerating in front of me, but the other party continued their last-minute merge, and I encountered no other pucker-worthy instances like this. When Lane Change On Demand is finished changing lanes, you’ll see a message in your DIC that says the lane change is complete. If you fully latched the turn signal to begin Lane Change On Demand, you must unlatch it when the lane change is finished to turn off the turn signal. If an Adaptive Cruise Control speed was not previously set, Super Cruise will set your current speed as the cruise speed.

The Dual Level Charge Cord allows you to charge from the comfort of your own home. Conveniently charge on your time from the grocery store, work, the gym and more. Plus, the myChevrolet Mobile App† makes charging your electric car quick and easy.
TAHOE (select trims only)

Works with Super Cruise† to automatically detect vehicles travelling in the same direction in its path. Controls acceleration and braking to maintain a driver-selected following gap, even in stop-and-go traffic. With an attentive driver, and under the proper conditions, available Super Cruise† can permit hands-free operation of the vehicle.
BLAZER EV (select trims only)
It will accelerate, brake, cruise, and steer for you on a supported highway. We've experienced Super Cruise a few times but rarely take press cars on long freeway trips. So, when this writer was charged with driving to Las Vegas to drive McLaren's new supercar, Cadillac was good enough to supply an XT6 so we could spend quality time with Super Cruise on the four-and-a-half-hour road trip.
STANDARD CHEVY SAFETY ASSIST
The RS also boasts the lineup’s most advanced tech features, including the standard hands-free Super Cruise driving system, a Rear Camera Mirror, and Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist. When towing, Super Cruise won’t initiate or perform lane changes, which makes sense and really isn’t that big of a deal. The biggest thing to remember when using Super Cruise is that the driver is always 100 percent liable for anything that happens when the system is active. Drivers must keep their eyes on the road while Super Cruise is on, and a driver monitoring camera assures that. On properly equipped vehicles, Super Cruise can steer to perform a single lane change under certain conditions,† if Lane Change On Demand capability is enabled in the vehicle’s Settings menu. Once you are ready for Super Cruise† to steer again, centre the vehicle in the lane and wait for the steering wheel to turn green.
Oops, Your lightbox has reached it's max.

Once I got behind the wheel of the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado High Country and set off, I was eager to get to the freeway and engage Super Cruise so I didn’t have to be the only one controlling this nearly 50-foot-long setup. As someone with no towing experience, I thoroughly appreciated these features. When the symbol and the steering wheel light bar illuminate in green, you may remove your hands from the steering wheel. You should not remove your hands from the steering wheel unless the light bar is green, which lets you know Super Cruise is steering the vehicle. Super Cruise™† is the first true hands-free driving technology for compatible roads. Learn how to use Super Cruise on vehicles equipped with this feature.
Super Cruise† also cannot determine whether the driver is awake, asleep, impaired or properly focused on safe driving. Complete attention is always required while driving, even when using Super Cruise.† The driver should always be prepared to take over steering or apply the brakes at any time. When it’s safe to do so, press the Super Cruise† button on the steering wheel to engage the feature.
I towed a trailer through LA for the first time and was relieved every time I engaged Super Cruise
There's an argument to be made that by adding Super Cruise, you're future-proofing your purchase. It's a valid point, but if your regular routes aren't available, there's no way of knowing when or if specific roads will be added. Super Cruise isn't cheap, so it's worth asking yourself if you'll use it regularly.

The average eligible vehicle will update its map within about one month of the GM brand site maps showing updated roads. “GM is all-in on safely deploying Super Cruise as we make the technology available on more vehicles, more roads and for more people to enjoy. A key part of that is expanding the road network — in this case nearly doubling it again — with LiDAR mapped highways. High precision LiDAR mapping gives us an operating domain where we are confident in Super Cruise’s abilities.”– Anantha Kancherla, GM vice president of ADAS. Remember, when you’re using Super Cruise, you must pay attention while driving and should not use a hand-held device.
Super Cruise is not available when Teen Driver† is active. Additionally, Super Cruise should never be used under difficult or uncertain driving conditions. The three-row Traverse has been a familiar and popular presence in Chevrolet’s SUV lineup for 15 years. Suddenly, one of the cars decides also to join the overtaking lane, and Super Cruise reacts and keeps you safe by braking, but it's very sudden. The LT trim offers a handful of feature upgrades, mostly inside the cabin. A seven-passenger configuration comes standard, along with an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat and SmartSlide second-row seating. Wireless phone charging and a 120-volt power outlet are included as well. On the exterior, the LT trim adds roof-mounted side rails.
